Finland Chooses Winner for Youth Video Award

The winner of the Finnish Youth Video Award was announced on Saturday the 10th of December. The ceremony was held in Sokos Hotel President in Helsinki, and Sokos Hotels sponsored the competition. The winner is 'Speak' by Noora Tossavainen, Miikka Lautkoski, Matias Tanner and Helmi Hytönen, with the main prize awarded at 1000€. The video can be seen on the Women's Line Facebook page.

Women’s Line and Social Media Support for Step Up! – #TärkeäAskel

Finland_Elina_TwibbonActive on Twitter on Facebook with the hashtag #TärkeäAskel as well as #StepUpWAVE, Women’s Line promotes the campaign through social media, engaging with important partners such as Amnesty International Finland and Mother and Child Centres Association (WAVE Member). Women’s Line’s profile picture is also using the Step Up! Twibbon, which has prompted other individuals to also use the app for their own images to promote the Campaign.

25 May 2016 – Women’s Line Finland Invited on National TV to Present Step Up!

Finland_Naisten_Linja_TwibbonAlongside the press release, Elina Nikulainen, Executive Director of Naisten Linja, was a guest on national morning television, Good Morning Finland/Huomenta Suomi to launch the Step Up! campaign and discuss violence against women. Furthermore, information on the campaign was also relayed on the radio.
