Serbia Chooses Winners for Youth Video Award!

The winners from Serbia for the Youth Video Award have been found. The Autonomous Women’s Center, Belgrade, received 3 videos and unanimously chose the video “Silent Life” in first place.The winners’ names are Dejan Terzić and Aleksandar Dadić. The date of the European award ceremony is on the 27th of February 2017, in Brussels!

TV and Radio Appearances for Campaign Launch

Alongside the press release, Aleksandra Nestorov of the Serbian Network Women Against Violence and Danijela Pesic (AWC) were guests on the TV Kopernikus TV show “Serbia Online” to present the campaign and the current situation in the field of specialist support services in Serbia on 30 May. Additionally, on 31 May, Danijela Pesic was on the TV Happy’s TV show Good Morning Serbia to spread awareness on the Step Up! Campaign and violence against women in Serbia. On 27 May, Ivana Nikolic of ...Out of Circle – Vojvodina – Novi Sad, sat down with RTV1 during their morning programming to talk about the campaign and do awareness-raising on the situation of Serbian women’s services and on 25 May, Aleksandra Nestorov had the chance to talk about the campaign launch on Serbian radio station Radio Joker.

On 25 May 2016, with the support of UN Women Orange Day, The Autonomous Women’s Center disseminated a national press release raising awareness about the Step Up! Campaign. This press release was published in several online publications: Tanjug, Blic, Kurir, RTS, Dnevnik and Krstarica. Additionally, Blic and Kurir published the press release in their print versions.
